5 Things About Justice High

[su_icon_text icon=”icon: book” icon_color=”#800020″ icon_size=”39″]School Programs

All Fairfax County Public Schools offer open enrollment in honors and advanced placement courses. Students and parents decide which courses will be taken but school counselors and teachers provide guidelines to assist in making the appropriate selection for each student.

Justice is one of eight schools in Fairfax County that offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. This program encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. Students in the program must do a personal project, complete certain classes and pass required exams.

Justice High offers a variety of programs for academic advancements, career prep, and extracurricular interests. There are numerous programs and activities available for students no matter their interest: band, choir, orchestra, Student Government Association, Model UN, Science Olympiad, and the National Honor Society to name only a few.

The Career and Technical Education program (CTE) allows students to learn the technical applications of different occupations while preparing for either higher education or entering the workforce. [/su_icon_text]

All Fairfax County middle and high schools offer French and Spanish at a minimum, however, Justice High also offers Arabic foreign language classes.[/su_icon_text]

[su_icon_text icon=”icon: soccer-ball-o” icon_color=”#800020″ icon_size=”39″]After School Activities

Justice has a team for every athlete in every season.

There’s cheerleading, cross country, dance team, field hockey, football, golf, volleyball in the fall. As winter approaches and temperatures drop they move on to indoor sports like basketball, gymnastics, indoor track, swim & dive, and wrestling. By the time spring rolls around students are back outside trying out for baseball, crew, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field. [/su_icon_text]

[su_icon_text icon=”icon: user-circle” icon_color=”#800020″ icon_size=”39″]Enrollment

There are about 2200 students enrolled at Justice each school year in grades 9-12.

Students attending Justice High School usually attend Longfellow Middle for 7th and 8th grades. Students living in the Alexandria, Annandale, and Falls Church zip codes of 22003, 22041, 22042, 22044, 22311, and 22312 may be assigned to the Justice High. .

I always recommended future home buyers use Fairfax County Boundary Locator to confirm the schools serving a specific address before making any decisions.[/su_icon_text]

[su_icon_text icon=”icon: clock-o” icon_color=”#800020″ icon_size=”39″]Schedule

If you’re relocating from another part of the country you may be surprised to learn that schools in Fairfax County begin the last week of August and end in either the second or third week of June.

Justice operates on a partial block schedule where students alternate classes depending on the day of the week. In-class time is roughly one and a half hours rather than attending every class each day for 45 minutes. Here’s an example of what your high schooler can expect on a day to day basis. [su_homepage_testimonial author="A Happy Client"]I’ve only shopped for property three times, but Abraham provided a substantially better experience than my previous two agents (even though they all worked for the same brokerage). He knows what he is doing, he is service oriented, he is friendly, and he gets things done. I can tell you that you probably have no idea how awesome a real estate agent can be unless you’ve bought or sold through Abraham. As long as he is around and I’m buying or selling, Abraham will be my agent from here on out.[/su_homepage_testimonial]
