Meet Our Partners – Ben Clark | Home Inspector

In this Meet Our Partner video, we’re talking to one of our home inspectors, Ben Clarke.  At Ask A Walker, we understand the importance of using the right Home Inspector for the job of inspecting your future home.

Ben Clark is a Certified Building Inspector, Certified Master Inspector, Member of the International Associations of Certified Home Inspectors and has been inspecting homes in the Northern Virginia housing market for 20 Years.

He enjoys this work because he gets to meet people and help them out. Ben gets to get into homes and give the new buyers an idea of what a reasonable expectation for future maintenance should be. Ben was drawn to the industry through real estate and construction. In his younger years, he worked through the ranks of construction from the ground up, starting out with hauling bricks. He learned the tricks of the trade, and how people cut corners. This gives him critical knowledge and industry insight of what to look for in his inspections. Because he is motivated by ensuring peace of mind and thorough investigation of the home under contract, he is driven to provide the best and most complete service available.

Home Inspections are an important part of the home buying process. You have an opportunity to get a set of professional eyes into the nooks and crannies of a property to assess for damages that need mitigated, repairs and upgrades that can be done, and more. You can waive this step in the process, but it is highly inadvisable to do so. If you choose to waive the opportunity, and later find a major issues that could have been resolved with an inspection, you are fully liable for the costs of those repairs.
